What is the Dollar Balance?

The Dollar Balance lets you hold a stable USD-denominated balance alongside your Bitcoin Balance in the Blink App.

In Custodial Mode, the Dollar Balance is powered by Stablesats — a mechanism that uses Bitcoin derivatives markets to maintain dollar-equivalent value without stablecoins or fiat integration. In Non-Custodial Mode, the Dollar Balance holds the USDB stablecoin (issued by Brale) on the Spark protocol.

The Dollar Balance is not available in all jurisdictions or modes. The Blink App shows whether it is available for your account. If you prefer to keep everything in Bitcoin, select your Bitcoin Balance as the default account in Settings.
